Nik Evans is a British citizen who served with the British Army, during which time
he completed two tours in Iraq.
During his military training, he trained alongside the U.S. Army in Germany. And
it was during that time that he met his wife, who is also a veteran of the Iraq
War.
Nik and his wife have been discharged from their respective military ‘armies’ and
now reside in Virginia. They have friends who have received services through the
Disabled American Veterans (DAV), which is why the DAV is close to their hearts.
On September 19th in Washington, DC, Nik participated in the North Face Endurance
Challenge, a 50-mile endurance marathon. Nik asked for supporters to make a pledge
on his behalf to the DAV National Service Foundation.
Nik said, “50 miles was going to be hard, but nothing compared to the hurdles young
servicemen and women are going to overcome… Sadly, as months go by, more and more
soldiers are needing the services that only DAV can provide.”
Grateful Appreciation is extended to Nik and his supporters.
